Google Cardboard Comes to Memorial

Today, 5th graders got to take a virtual field trip to historic Philadelphia using Google Cardboard today.  It reminds me of the old Viewmaster  Image result for viewmasterI used as a kid myself. This "viewmaster is very high- tech.  Google Cardboard has an android phone inside that takes you to previously set up "trips".  The teacher is able to direct student's attention to specific points of interest along the way. We covered famous historic sites in Philadelphia as well as visited a few national monuments - Lincoln Memorial, Statue of Liberty, Mount Rushmore, and the view from the top of the Washington Monument.
