MWRA Presentation!

MWRA (Mass. Water Resource Authority) came in and gave us a presentation on all about water treatment and the Quabbin Reservoir for our Science unit on Water. Did you know you are not supposed to flush tissues or "flushable" wipes...they don't break down as our students discovered!

5th Grade Releases the Butterflies !!

5th Graders today in Mrs. Burns' Science class released our butterflies into ...of course the butterfly garden!  Students have been studying the life cycle of the butterfly and watching these butterflies change from caterpillars to butterflies! We had 8 caterpillars and released 7 butterflies in the end! Great Job Scientists !

Our Math Team Rocks!

Students from Memorial's Math Olympiad program competed last week in the Fifth Annual Middlesex Math Madness tournament held here at Memorial. We had over 28 teams competing from all around Middlesex County. Our math teams represented Burlington well. One of our teams was only 3 points away from tying for one of the team awards! Great effort and time had by all. Go Burlington!
